* The Trump Foundation controversy moves forward: “Investigators in New York have subpoenaed President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen as part of a probe of the Trump Foundation.”
* New hacking attempts: “The Democratic National Committee said Wednesday that it had discovered an attempt to steal credentials to gain access to its voter database.”
* Apparently, a plan is in place: “Democrats have drafted a wide-ranging contingency plan should Mueller be fired or President Donald Trump take other steps to quash the Russia investigation, like firing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein or pardoning key witnesses.”
* Michael Cohen’s 2015 tweet about Hillary Clinton going to prison was quietly deleted from Twitter today. Noted without comment.
* I’m starting to think Trump’s boasts were wrong: “North Korea is continuing to develop its nuclear program, the United Nations’ atomic agency said in an annual report this week, despite an agreement reached in June between Washington and Pyongyang to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.” * More associations: “The publisher of a website that serves as a platform for white nationalism was a guest last weekend at the home of President Trump’s top economic adviser, Larry Kudlow.” * A case to keep an eye on: “A New York state judge rebuffed President Trump’s attempt to distance himself from a lawsuit against his security team Monday, forcing him to face claims that they allegedly attacked a group of peaceful Mexican protesters in 2015.” Anything to add?
