Today’s installment of campaign-related news items that won’t necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* President Obama’s re-election campaign isn’t done targeting Mitt Romney over women’s health, launching a new ad on the issue this morning. The spot, which I believe is the fifth Obama ad on Romney and reproductive rights, will begin airing today in Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, Ohio, and Virginia today.
* In response to Romney’s relatively modest ad buy in Wisconsin, the Obama campaign is also investing in the Badger State. It’s unclear at this point how large the Democrats ad buy is.
* A SurveyUSA poll in Florida shows Obama with a modest lead over Romney, 48% to 44%.
* The same poll suggests Florida’s U.S. Senate race slipping away from the GOP, with Sen. Bill Nelson (D) leading Rep. Connie Mack IV (R), 47% to 36%.
