Today’s installment of campaign-related news items that won’t necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* With Mitt Romney set to appear at UK fundraiser with scandal-plagued financiers, Americans United for Change released a tough new video this morning.
* According to the latest NBC-Wall Street Journal-Telemundo poll, President Obama’s lead over Romney among Latino voters is 44 points, 67% to 23%.
* In Indiana, businessman Doug Rose was supporting Sen. Dick Lugar (R), but after he was defeated in a GOP primary, Rose is now hosting a fundraiser for Democrat Joe Donnelly.
* In Maine’s U.S. Senate race, former Gov. Angus King (I) has had a pretty easy ride, and has built up an insurmountable lead. But with the right fearing King will caucus with Democrats, and possibly tip the balance in the Senate next year, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is now running attack ads targeting the independent candidate.
