Today’s installment of campaign-related news items that won’t necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* In Ohio, a SurveyUSA poll for the local NBC affiliate shows President Obama leading Mitt Romney by three, 45% to 42%. The president’s advantage is enormous among early voters.
* In Wisconsin, a Marquette Law School poll shows Obama’s lead shrinking to just one point, 49% to 48%.
* It turns out, former President Clinton isn’t just doing ads for President Obama; he’s also the star of a new ad in the state of Washington in support of Jay Inslee’s (D) gubernatorial campaign.
* On a related note, Inslee leads by six, 48% to 42%, in the latest PPP poll.
* In Nevada, a poll from Project New America, which Jon Ralston takes seriously, finds Obama leads Romney by seven, 50% to 43%. * In Massachusetts’ U.S. Senate race, the latest Public Policy Polling survey shows Elizabeth Warren (D) up by nine over Sen. Scott Brown (R), 53% to 44%. It’s Warren’s largest lead to date in any poll. * In Wisconsin’s U.S. Senate race, the Marquette University Law School poll shows former Gov. Tommy Thompson (R) inching ahead of Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D), 46% to 45%. * And with far-right super PACs pumping ad money into Minnesota, in part in the hopes of influencing voters in neighboring Iowa and Wisconsin, the Obama is now buying radio spots in the state.
