Today’s installment of campaign-related news items that won’t necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* As if Anthony Weiner’s (D) mayoral bid in New York City wasn’t in enough trouble, over the weekend, his campaign manager quit. That’s not a good sign.
* Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R) primary rival in Kentucky, Matt Bevin, picked up a helpful endorsement last night when the Madison Project, a conservative fundraising group headed by former Rep. Jim Ryun (R-Kan.), announced its support for Bevin’s campaign.
* In a bit of a surprise, former Arkansas Lt. Gov. Bill Halter (D) ended his gubernatorial campaign this morning.
