* In a spot that began airing over the weekend, the Obama campaign began hitting Mitt Romney over teachers and education.
* Speaking of advertising, Obama has also reportedly begun airing radio spots in Wisconsin, emphasizing Romney’s “47 percent” video.
* In Ohio, CBS/Quinnipiac shows Obama ahead by five (50% to 45%); a Fox News poll shows Obama up by three (46% to 43%); and PPP has Obama leading by just one (49% to 48%).
* In Florida, a Fox News poll shows Romney up by three (48% to 45%); a CNN poll shows Romney ahead by one (49% to 48%); PPP also has Romney ahead by one (48% to 47%); but SurveyUSA shows Obama up by one (47% to 46%).
* In Iowa, the latest PPP survey shows Obama ahead by one, 49% to 48%.
* In Virginia, PPP has Obama leading by two, 49% to 47%, though most other recent polls show Romney with the advantage in the state.
