* The Democratic National Committee shows no signs of letting up on Mitt Romney’s controversial private-sector background, releasing this new video this morning, “The Bane of Romney’s Existence.”
* President Obama’s re-election campaign is getting increasingly engaged on voting laws, unveiling GottaVote.org today, along with a new video highlighting voting restrictions approved by state Republican policymakers.
* Americans Elect, after having spent $35 million for apparently no reason, finally admitted defeat yesterday and acknowledged it has no candidate.
* In national polling, a new Investors Business Daily/TIPP poll shows Obama leading Mitt Romney by three, while a new Mason-Dixon poll shows Romney leading Obama by three.
* The Massachusetts Democratic Party believes Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) may have “helped JPMorgan Chase seek a loophole in a law meant to limit risky trading.” * After a few contentious days, the Democratic National Committee is fully engaged in the Wisconsin recall effort. * In April, the National Republican Congressional Committee narrowly outraised the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, $6.9 million to $6.5 million. * In New Hampshire, Public Policy Polling shows two very competitive U.S. House races, and Democrats are well positioned to flip both seats from “red” to “blue.”
