Forecasters warned that a tornado was heading for Oklahoma City on Friday evening.
Terrifyingly, the massive storm system developed more than one vortex, and multiple twisters hit Oklahoma City, the suburb of Moore–which was devastated less than two weeks ago by an even more powerful storm–and the surrounding area.
The wind changed direction so suddenly that even the experts were taken by surprise, and a Weather Channel car was tossed in the wind and crumpled.

A mother and her baby were killed when their SUV flipped over on I-40.
Late Friday, the twisters seemed to weaken. But powerful straight winds, hail and flooding–as well as massive power outages in Oklahoma City–made the area still a danger zone overnight.
