Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke came under conservative crossfire after she gave Congressional testimony earlier this year on access to birth control. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh branded her a “slut” after she described her experience of being a student at a religiously-affiliated school whose insurance coverage did not pay for contraception. Fluke received support from Democrats, including President Obama, while Limbaugh lost several national advertisers. The shock jock eventually apologized.
