A fired up Mitt Romney came out swinging at the first presidential debate in October, leading most politicos to believe he won the first, critical faceoff. The GOPer seemed to control the debate platform while Obama seemed frazzled and couldn’t get his big talking points in. Even Obama jokingly acknowledged his poor performance shortly after the debate, telling an L.A. audience full of celebs and musicians that unlike them he didn’t always “perform flawlessly night after night.”
