The wait is finally over.
In a speech on Thursday, President Obama announced sweeping changes to the nation’s immigration policies. With a flick of his pen, Obama will enact the most sweeping changes to U.S. immigration laws in three decades. Under this executive action, millions of undocumented immigrants living in the United States will be spared deportation for three years.
Many activists and undocumented immigrants cheered his decision. Several politicians took to Twitter to respond, expressing both support and disgust.
