Internet users were greeted Tuesday morning with a Google Doodle on the homepage that prominently showcases a ballot box, which is donned in an American flag. Every 10 seconds, a ballot enters the top of the case, which then spins in a circle.
When users click the image, they are taken to a different page, titled, “Where do I vote?” Here, they can enter an address and find the corresponding polling location.
Voters began appearing at the polls early Tuesday, poised to hand control of the Senate to Republicans in a midterm election noted for its negativity, billionaire-funded advertising.
