Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s new book, entitled “Crippled America: How to Make America Great Again,” is set for release on Nov. 3. In it, the billionaire businessman explains why he believes America should elect him president. Among the hot-button issues Trump addresses in the book are the Obama administration’s nuclear agreement with Iran, immigration reform, religious liberty, gun control and terrorism.
Below are some of the forthcoming book’s best quotes, based on an advanced copy obtained by NBC News:
On the refugee crisis: “We’re going to open the gates to refugees from places like Syria, which is like extending a personal invitation to ISIS members to come live here and try to destroy our country from within.”
On the media: “I use the media the way the media uses me – to attract attention … If you say outrageous things and fight back, they love you.”
On terrorism: “I don’t think knowing the names of each terrorist leader more than a year before the election is a test of whether someone is qualified. We’re not playing Trivial Pursuit … We don’t need another 9/11 to understand that these people want to kill us.”
