Members of the Democratic National Committee surpassed their Republican counterparts in fundraising last month.
The DNC raised $9 million in June, compared to the Republican National Committee’s $8.5 million, according to Federal Election Commission filings that were due on Sunday.
But the RNC still has $14.4 million in the bank, almost twice as much as the $7.8 million the DNC began with in July.
Additionally, the DNC slashed its debt to $3 million, down from a high of $23 million in March 2013. The RNC hasn’t been in debt since last June.
