Vice President Joe Biden stepped in it again.
Officials for Greg Orman’s Senate campaign in Kansas were left scrambling at the end of the finish line on election night after Biden suggested the independent candidate — who has not said which party he will caucus with — will in fact side with Democrats.

“We have a chance of picking up an independent who will be with us in the state of Kansas,” Biden said in an interview today with radio station WPL.
Biden’s gaffe came during the crucial final hours just before polls closed across Kansas in one of the most unexpected races of the election cycle — and one which ultimately could decide the power struggle over the Senate.
Orman has insisted repeatedly that he has not announced which party he intends on caucus with in the Senate, a procedural decision that could complicate whether Republicans take control of the upper chamber as expected.
