Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled speech before Congress on Tuesday is already the subject of great controversy: House Speaker John Boehner invited Netanyahu to speak without previously alerting the White House, and Netanyahu is expected to argue against President Obama’s plan for a possible nuclear deal with Iran. As a result, the impending speech has further strained already-tense relations between the White House and House Republicans. And now, dozens of Democrats — including 2016 hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren, according to a scoop by The Boston Globe — have announced that they will not be attending Netanyahu’s speech.
