About a half-dozen men were arrested Sunday in Minnesota and California on suspicion of supporting ISIS, law enforcement sources told NBC News.
One of the officials stressed that the men weren’t suspected of plotting attacks inside the U.S. “There was no danger,” this official said.
Most of the arrests were in Minneapolis, sources said, while a relative of one of the men was arrested in San Diego. Most apparently were members of the Somali community.
Authorities said the case is under seal and wouldn’t offer any further details Sunday night. More information is expected at a news conference at the U.S. attorney’s office in Minneapolis.
