Christie’s favorite songs by this rocker include “Prove It All Night,” and “Jungleland.”
Kean’s thoughts on Christie’s presidential chances? “On the one hand, I think he’s got a lot to offer. I think he’s the most able politician since Bill Clinton,” he told The Washington Post. “On the other hand, you look at these other qualities and ask, do you really want that in your president?”
In 2002, Christie was appointed to chair the 9/11 commission and became a more well-known figure.
Months later, nearly 61% of New Jersey voters approved a ballot question approving the minimum wage increase from $7.25 to $8.25.
In the GOP primary field, Christie is in a tie for eighth place with Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, with 4% support, according to a NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released in mid-June.
Emergency services and residents were reportedly not notified of the lane closures. David Wildstein, a high school classmate of Christie and a senior official at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, pleaded guilty in a plot to cause traffic problems on the George Washington Bridge as political payback. Bill Baroni and Bridget Anna Kelly, two former Christie aides, also face federal criminal charges.
