On the front page of today’s Washington Post, a new report exposes potentially major risks that the United States is taking in its efforts at nation-building in Afghanistan. Senate Democrats on the Foreign Relations Committee are expected to warn that if the U.S. does not overhaul its multi-billion dollar aid package, Afghanistan is at jeopardy for a severe economic depression when foreign troops leave in 2014.
