Former Sen. Scott Brown will not run for governor of Massachusetts, he announced Wednesday night.
“I’ve decided, with my wife’s blessing, that I will not be running for governor of Massachusetts in 2014,” Brown first said on WBZ Radio’s “Nightside With Dan Rea.”
He filled the late Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat after he won a special election in 2010. But Brown lost last year in the Mass. Senate election by seven points to first-time candidate Elizabeth Warren, the state’s first female senator.
