The president will use an executive order in hopes of cutting red tape for small business exports, by digitizing and simplifying the export process.
The order, which the president will sign aboard Air Force One on Wednesday, will mandate federal agencies to complete the digital trade data system by the end of 2016. Instead of filing forms and submitting data with several agencies, businesses could submit all the information through a “single window,” according to the White House.
The White House said the system will reduce processing time from days to minutes.
