Chrysler’s CEO Sergio Marchionne has said the company’s ad featuring actor Clint Eastwood is no political endorsement.
Marchionne spoke today on Detroit talk radio station WJR (760 AM) about the ad, which Karl Rove said “offended” him:
“It has zero political content,” Marchionne said. “It was not intended to be any type of political overture on our part. We are as apolitical as you can make us… I wasn’t expressing a view and certainly nobody inside Chrysler was attempting to influence decisions.” Read the rest of the story on the Detroit News site, and tell us what you think: Does the ad seem to praise the Obama administration for the extension of the auto bailout?
