With Tuesday’s primary looming in Michigan, the GOP presidential hopeful took a stroll around the Daytona 500 on Sunday, checking out the cars, chatting with drivers and signing autographs.
He even approached a car sponsored by the rival Santorum campaign, plastered with “Rick 2012” signage. Though he glanced at it very quickly, here he is not checking it out.
Later, asked if he would be rooting against the Santorum-mobile, Romney laughed and said, “I hope all the cars have a good race,” reported the Associated Press.
