The country is entrenched in a culture war over same sex marriage, and judging by the uptick in viral memes, celebs and politicians “coming out,” and the steamy, new Time magazine cover… supporters of same-sex marriage are winning.
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz defended the company’s support for same-sex marriage, telling a shareholder he was free to sell his shares if he didn’t like the company’s position on the issue. Schultz reportedly said that it wasn’t about the bottom-line, but about “respecting diversity.”
Beyoncé took to Instagram with a message inspired by her “Single Ladies” tune.
Anheuser-Busch used Facebook and its Bud Light brand to show support of same-sex marriage.
