In the wake of tragedy in Newtown, Conn., several makeshift memorials have sprung up around town to remember those who died.
Friday morning, twenty children and six adults were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School after a gunman shot his way through the school doors. The children were all between six and seven-years-old.
Hundred of people are leaving teddy bears, candles, flowers and notes for families in an effort to ease the pain and pay tribute to the victims.
For those who aren’t able to be in Newtown, supporters have set up online memorials on social media sites. One such page on Facebook has more than 200 thousand “likes” and counting.
