Sarah Palin not a fan of the White House Correspondents Dinner? You betcha.
The half-term Alaska governor and failed vice presidential candidate has gone on a social media frenzy to declare her indignation for the annual event, which brings together reporters, D.C. insiders, and Hollywood A-listers for mingling, dinner and jokes.
After the night ended, Palin tweeted, “That #WHCD was pathetic. The rest of America is out there working our asses off while these DC assclowns throw themselves a #nerdprom.”

She continued the rant on Facebook. “Yuk it up media and pols,” she wrote. “While America is buried in taxes and a fight for our rights, the permanent political class in DC dresses up and has a prom to make fun of themselves. No need for that, we get the real joke.”
Of course, if Palin had won in 2008, she’d likely be one of the guests “yukking” it up at the dinner. The dinner, which was hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien, was slightly toned down than in previous years given the recent Boston Marathon bombing and West, Texas fertilizer plant explosions. Obama made reference to the tragedies, praising first responders and journalists who covered the events. “These have been some very hard days for too many of our citizens,” Obama said. “Even as we gather here tonight our thoughts are not far from the people of Boston and the people of West, Texas.”Recommended
