The Canadian men’s and women’s hockey team both took home Olympic gold medals in Sochi, but it’s the Toronto mayor who is once again making the headlines.
Mayor Rob Ford was celebrating the men’s team win Sunday morning when he ran groin-first into a fire hydrant. Ford was so excited about the team’s 3-0 victory over Sweden that he didn’t even notice the fire hydrant when he ran outside to celebrate with his fellow Canadians.
Canada’s National Post photographer Darren Calabrese caught Ford’s “run-in” frame by frame and shared it on Twitter, saying:
