President Obama is making clear he’d do just about anything to come to a deal on the debt with Republicans, if re-elected.
“I’ll go to Capitol Hill. I’ll wash John Boehner’s car, I’ll walk Mitch McConnell’s dog, I’ll do whatever it’s required to get this done,” Obama told msnbc’s Michael Smerconish in a radio interview Friday afternoon.
Smerconish, a radio talk show host, msnbc political analyst, and frequent Hardball guest host sat down with Obama to talk about his campaign for re-election, the economy, and national security.
Obama said he expects to win re-election, and that his first priority would be to bring Republican leaders together with his administration and other Democrats.
