When it comes to toeing the GOP line, Rudy Giuliani gives himself a C-.
Hardball host Chris Matthews asked the former New York City mayor on Wednesday how he can call himself a Republican when he’s pro-choice and open to same-sex marriage, and the people in his party “don’t believe in any of this.”
Giuliani insisted he’s Republican “on 7 out of 10 issues.”
The failed 2008 GOP presidential candidate also dished on the state of this year’s race, and on his disinterest in a position with a potential Romney administration.
Giuliani said he gives “a lot of credit” to President Obama for killing Osama bin Laden and taking charge in Afghanistan. But he ripped Obama for his domestic policy, particularly on the economy and the level of unemployment.
