* Yet another poll shows Kamala Harris’ national advantage over Donald Trump disappearing: The final national poll by The New York Times and Siena College found the two major party nominees tied at 48% support each. * The Harris campaign has released a new television ad built on former White House chief of staff John Kelly’s condemnations of his former boss.

* Harris’ star-studded event in Atlanta — Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen were among the big names who appeared — reportedly drew an audience of 23,000 people. Around the same time, Trump claimed that 29,000 people were on hand for his recent McDonald’s stunt, which was plainly bonkers.
* In Montana’s U.S. Senate race, Republican Tim Sheehy didn’t need another controversy, but NBC News reported that the GOP candidate “has said he was discharged from the military for medical reasons because of injuries he sustained on duty, but his discharge paperwork tells a different story.”
* As Elon Musk invests millions of additional dollars in support of Republican candidates, The Wall Street Journal reports that the conspiratorial billionaire has been participating in a series of secret conversations with Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
* The Senate Majority PAC, which is closely aligned with the Senate Democratic leadership, is investing an additional $5 million into Texas’ U.S. Senate campaign, hoping to derail Republican Sen. Ted Cruz’s bid for a third term.
