1. Congress returned Monday ready to hash out what to do about the 1.3 million Americans who lost unemployment benefits three days after Christmas. Joining Chris Hayes to discuss Republican obstruction on this issue are Director of Budget and Regulatory Policy, Mattie Duppler, and Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy.
2. Last Thursday, All In aired a segment on “snow trollers,” climate deniers who claim that climate change isn’t real because it’s cold. The criticism persists so we are back to clear the (cold) air: winter weather does not mean climate change is fake. Chris Hayes will be joined by Senior Political Columnist at the Washington Examiner, Tim Carney.
3. In an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, New York Rep. Peter King said Sen. Rand Paul was “creating this hysteria” for wanting to file a lawsuit against the Obama administration for the NSA’s spying practices. Joining All In to discuss the political significance of King’s remarks is Washington Bureau Chief of Buzzfeed, John Stanton.
