The time has come for immigration reform. We think.
At least soon – like maybe this upcoming week soon. According to various sources, President Obama is expected to announce a major overhaul of the country’s immigration enforcement system after returning from his current overseas trip. Our guests will discuss the actions the president might take, weigh the legal issues in question, and the political response from all sides.

The city of Ferguson continues to itself as we await the grand jury decision on whether to indict Darren Wilson for the killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown. We’ll get the latest from our reporters on the ground as well as activists coordinating within the community.
Then, to capital punishment. It’s legal in 32 of our United States, but in three of those, the executions can be ordered by judge despite a jury’s sentence of life in prison. It’s called a “judge override,” and in Alabama, the first judge override execution may be imminent. Bryan Stephenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, joins us to explain.
