The rally was held in New York’s Washington Square Park.
“They feel very guilty, but it’s fine,” Trump told Fox News.
The debate came just days before the make-or-break New York primary on April 19. The latest NBC New York/WSJ/Marist poll shows Clinton still maintains a double-digit lead over Sanders in the Empire State. Rather than listening to the candidate’s speech, the crowd instead chattered at their dinner tables, took selfies or left the dinner altogether. These will be the last such speeches Obama will give as president, a White House official confirmed on Thursday.
