Americans have again named Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama as the most admired woman and man in the world, but it’s the second place finishers who make a more unusual pair.
According to a Gallup poll, 17 percent of Americans named the president as the man they admired most in 2015, but the runners-up — at 5 percent apiece — were Donald Trump and Pope Francis.
It’s Trump’s second appearance on the list in recent years. In 2011, 1 percent of Americans called Trump the man they admired most. Pope Francis was the second place finisher on the list in 2013 and 2014.
