Former President George H.W. Bush turned 88 today, and to celebrate, his granddaughter, the Today show’s contributing correspondent, Jenna Bush Hager, interviewed him and asked him how he felt about turning 88.
“Pretty, darn old.” Bush begins. “Aging is all right…Better than the alternative, not being here.”
The taped interview walks viewers through his time as a navy pilot during World War II to the 1992 race against Bill Clinton to recent revelations on aging and death.
Recently, the former President visited the White House to see the portrait of his son, George W Bush, unveiled and hung next to his own portrait. However, the portraits weren’t the headline, Mr. Bush’s colorful socks were. “I’m a sock man,” Bush revealed.
