“Think before tweeting” is advice everyone on social media can use, but particularly those behind the Twitter handle @NRAWomen.
Just two days after an Arizona shooting range instructor was accidentally shot and killed by a 9-year-old who was learning to use an Uzi, the NRA Women’s Twitter account sent out a tweet with suggestions for making a trip to the shooting range more fun for kids.
The tweet, which has since been deleted, linked to an article from Women’s Outdoor News that listed different types of targets that could be fun for kids to use at a gun range. The suggestions include animal shaped targets, mutant and zombie targets, and even exploding targets. The article itself is dated August 20, five days before the tragic Arizona shooting, which occurred at a popular shooting range near Las Vegas.
