At least seven passengers were confirmed dead Wednesday after an Amtrak train derailed in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, injuring at least 200 people who were on board the regional train traveling from Washington, D.C., to New York City. Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter called the incident “an absolute disastrous mess,” adding “I have never seen anything like it in my life.”
