Pat Sajak: ‘Global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists’

For reasons too bizarre to be immediately clear, long-time game show host Pat Sajak tweeted this on Monday night:

I now believe global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends. Good night.

It’s not the first time he’s used Twitter to take on the scientific consensus on climate change. Here is a sampling:

It’s unclear what provoked Sajak’s latest remark on climate change. In recent interviews, California Gov. Jerry Brown has blamed worsening wildfires in the state on climate change caused by humans.

Sajak’s latest tweet provoked plenty of reactions. Perhaps, as this Sajak tweet from today hints, the game show host was just trying to stir controversy:
