It’s the night before the election, and Chris Christie is causing yet more headaches for Mitt Romney.
Fresh off heaping effusive praise on President Obama’s response to Superstorm Sandy, the New Jersey governor is in a spat with his party’s nominee over whether he was invited to appear at a campaign rally.
The Huffington Post reported Monday evening that Christie, who gave the keynote speech at the GOP Convention in August, had turned down an invitation from Team Romney to appear alongside the Republican nominee at a campaign event in Morrisville, Penn., just a short drive from Trenton, N.J.
“You can’t tell me he couldn’t have gone over there for a night rally,” a Romney campaign aide complained.
