Voters are ready to find their next president… in a table tennis game?
In honor of National Table Tennis Day, Harris Poll on behalf of STIGA, a world leader in table tennis for over 60 years, conducted a survey of who Americans would want to play against in a game of table tennis. Thirty two percent of Americans chose Hillary Clinton to battle against on the court. But, if they can’t play her, almost a quarter want to play the outspoken Republican Candidate Donald Trump.
And that’s not the only poll these two are leading. According to a recent survey from Monmouth University, the former Secretary of State still has a firm grasp on the Democratic nomination with 51% choosing her over the 17% who want to see Senator Bernie Sanders, the independent socialist from Vermont, take the nomination. Donald Trump’s popularity has surged among Republicans as he now leads a crowded GOP primary field with 18% of the vote according to a recent Fox News Poll. Governor Scott Walker, who became the 15th Republican to announce his candidacy for President earlier this week, also saw a bump in the poll coming in second behind Trump with 15% of the vote while Former Governor Jeb Bush is third with 14% of the vote.
