Today’s installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
* Steering clear of a logistical disaster, the Wisconsin Supreme Court narrowly agreed yesterday to keep the Green Party off the state’s 2020 presidential ballot.
* Donald Trump insisted on Fox News this morning that Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) will “be in charge of the ballots” in the fall, and the governor “will cheat.” In reality, Nevada’s Republican secretary of State oversees the state’s election process.
* Scientific American has been publishing for 175 years, and in that time, the magazine has literally never endorsed a presidential candidate from either party. Today, Scientific American endorsed Joe Biden.
* In March, a Florida Atlantic University poll found Trump with a narrow lead in the Sunshine State; the same poll showed Biden with a narrow lead in May; and now FAU shows the two tied.
* Today is Primary Day in Delaware, home to the last primary before the November elections. Among the notable contests is Sen. Chris Coons (D) facing a Senate challenge from the left.
