* With Wisconsin facing a deadline next week on sending out absentee ballots, the Republican majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court yesterday halted the process. In a 4-3 ruling, the court’s majority said the delay is warranted because of questions about third-party candidates and whether they should appear on the ballot. One county election clerk told the AP, “This is potentially a huge disaster.”
* Hoping to seize an opportunity, the DNC yesterday dispatched a mobile billboard truck to Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Michigan. The truck displayed pandemic statistics, while broadcasting a clip of the president telling Bob Woodward, “I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down.”
* As Rachel noted on the show last night, Microsoft issued a new statement yesterday, documenting Russian, Chinese, and Iranian hackers, and their escalating attacks on the U.S. presidential race.
* Speaking of the intersection of the tech and political worlds, Twitter announced yesterday that it will label or remove content that prematurely declares victory in the U.S. election — a move that appears designed to pushback against Trump and the so-called “Red Mirage” scenario.
