“Scott is in. Are you?” Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker tweeted Friday, three days ahead of his scheduled campaign launch in Waukesha. “Join our team today.”
In what appears to have been a mistake, Walker announced his 2016 presidential bid from his verified account on the social network to his 148,000 followers, along with a black-and-white image of himself and the text, “Scott Walker is running for president. Join the team.”

As noted by Politico, “[t]he tweet was not available on his timeline later in the afternoon, but was still viewable under his account.” The tweet was later deleted.
