Hillary Clinton is slowly teasing out new details on her upcoming memoir Hard Choices, including what she thinks about the Obama White House and the “cancer of inequality.”
“Countries have hard choices and how they make those choices determines whether or not people are prosperous, free, have opportunity, can pursue their own dreams,” the former secretary of state said in a web video released Wednesday. “Choices is at the core of what kind of people we want to be and what kind of countries we want to have.”
And, of course, choice will play a role in who people want lead our country. Clinton, a clear front-runner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, has been coy about her own future political ambitions, but promised in the video that her new book will provide “behind the scenes” insights on her interactions with President Barack Obama and her relationship with the White House.
The four-minute clip is just the latest part of a roll-out treatment for her June 10 book launch. The tease comes just a day after her publisher Simon & Schuster released an author’s note detailing the plethora of critics Clinton has faced in the past, and the tough reviews she’ll likely face in the future, all centered around the theme of Hard Choices.
