Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to testify about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, in which four Americans were killed, at a Committee on Foreign Affairs hearing Dec. 20.
Clinton will make a presentation on the State Department’s Accountability Review Board report, which details how to prevent future attacks and how to protect frontline officials, NBC News reported.
David Petraeus, the former head of the CIA, testified that the attacks on the consulate were linked to Al Qaida in November.
Most recently, UN Ambassador Susan Rice came under fire from Republicans for saying on morning talk shows that the attacks were a spontaneous protest against an anti-Islam film. Rice has maintained that she only shared information that was provided by the intelligence community and President Obama has defended her job performance.
