Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie escalated his feud with Marco Rubio Thursday, telling a conservative radio host that if the “inexperienced” Florida senator is the GOP nominee, Hillary Clinton would “pat him on the head and then cut his heart out.”
In an interview on Laura Ingraham’s radio show, the New Jersey governor blasted Rubio as an “unprepared” politician who “has been spoon fed every victory he’s ever had in his life.”
The New Jersey governor’s jabs come after a super PAC aiding Rubio launched ads in New Hampshire targeting Christie’s policy record and his involvement in the “Bridgegate” lane closure scandal.
One ad calls Christie “Obama’s favorite Republican governor.”
Echoing previous attacks on Rubio’s career, Christie told Ingraham that the ads are a sign of Rubio’s lack of political know-how.
