Controversial R&B star Chris Brown decided to spin his own unique conspiracy theory on Monday about the outbreak of Ebola both abroad and in Dallas, Texas.
During an unsolicited rant on Twitter, the singer wrote, “I don’t know … But I think this Ebola epidemic is a form of population control. S–t is getting crazy bruh.”

Three minutes later, when perhaps logic or a dutiful PR person took hold of his thinking, Brown backed away from his initial statement. He tweeted: “Let me shut my black a– up!”
Brown has become infamous for both public outbursts and social media meltdowns. In 2010, he was widely criticized for making homophobic statements about a musical rival on Twitter and he has also clashed with singer Frank Ocean via social media. He also reportedly trashed a dressing room on the set of “Good Morning America” in 2011, when he was asked a question on the show that he took offense to.
The 25-year-old has been in frequent trouble with the law ever since his brutal 2009 assault on his then-girlfriend singer Rihanna. Although the couple briefly reconciled, Brown has struggled to shake his image as an abuser.
And yet despite being seen in some circles as a poster boy for domestic violence, Chris Brown has 13.7 million followers on Twitter. Meanwhile, a second U.S. citizen has been officially diagnosed with Ebola following the death of the first patient with the disease on American soil. Thousands have died in Africa from the killer virus, and the death toll continues to rise.
