One Republican group has written the book on opposing Hillary Clinton—literally.
Research group America Rising will publish a digital book called “Failed Choices: A Critique of the Clinton State Department” to counter Clinton’s own memoir, “Hard Choices.” The two books will both be published on June 10th—Clinton’s in bookstores and online and America Rising’s digital rebuttal online.
“We really wanted to provide a frame for people to view Hillary Clinton’s tenure as the Secretary of State that counters whatever spin she’s going to be putting out on her “Hard Choices” tour,” America Rising Executive Director Tim Miller told msnbc.
In the chapter of Clinton’s “Hard Choices” that was released last week, the former first lady slams Republicans for politicizing the deadly attacks in Benghazi, Libya.
“I will not be a part of a political slugfest on the backs of dead Americans. It’s just plain wrong, and it’s unworthy of our great country. Those who insist on politicizing the tragedy will have to do so without me,” Clinton wrote.
An email from msnbc to Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill was not returned by press time, but a Clinton aide pointed Politico towards that quote when asked to comment on the e-book.
Many Republican groups and leaders have amped up their criticism of Clinton ahead of the release of her book, which has already reportedly sold more than a million copies in pre-sales.
Miller said his group is pointedly targeting Clinton now, more than two years before the 2016 election, because they believe she’s already on the campaign trail.
