Romy Rainer

Romy Rainer is an Austrian-born photographer and visual artist based in New York. After completing her bachelor’s degree in photography in Austria, she worked for five years as First Assistant at the Seliger Studio, where she led the photo department, overseeing high-profile editorial productions for Vanity Fair, Esquire, and The New York Times, among others. Today, Rainer devotes her practice to independent projects such as “What If Vulnerability Was Strength?,” currently on exhibit at Vienna’s FotoWien through 2025.
