Kris Marsh is the director of graduate studies and an associate professor of sociology at the University of Maryland. She is also the author of the book, “The Love Jones Cohort: Single and Living Alone in the Black Middle Class.” Previously, Marsh was a visiting researcher at the University of Southern California, and Fulbright Scholar in South Africa at the University of Witwatersrand and the University of Johannesburg.
